Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

OIL SEAL (EXTENSION HOUSING) REPLACEMENT
1. Drain the transmission oil.
2. Remove the following parts:
1. Front tunnel member
2. Rear tunnel member
3. Catalytic converter, middle pipe, main silencer
4. Heat insulator
5. Propeller shaft





3. Remove the oil seal using a flathead screwdriver.





4. Tap a new oil seal into the case using the SSTs.
5. Apply the specified oil to the oil seal lip.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
7. Add transmission oil.
