BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER

Disassembly and Assembly

Caution: Clamp on the master cylinder flange only when securing the master cylinder in a vise.

1. Remove the brake master cylinder.
2. Secure the brake master cylinder in a soft-jawed vise.





4. Release the master cylinder reservoir retaining clips and remove the reservoir.
5. Remove the master cylinder reservoir cap.
6. Remove the gasket.
7. Remove and discard the reservoir seals.
8. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.

Note:
Lubricate the reservoir seals with clean DOT 3 brake fluid. Install new reservoir seals. Bleed the brake system.
