GEARSHIFT LINKAGE

Removal and Installation








1. Remove the floor console.

Note: Both shift cables disconnect from the transaxle in the same manner.

2. Disconnect the transaxle shift cables from the transaxle.
1. Lift shift cable out of cable bracket.
2. Disconnect the shift cable from the transaxle shift control tower.
3. Remove the clip(s)





3. Remove the shift cable clips.
4. Disconnect the cables from the gearshift lever,
5. Remove the nuts and the gearshift cables
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Caution: When inserting the transaxle shift cable assembly through the dash panel, make sure the arrow on the grommet is pointing down.





1. Insert the transaxle shift control cable assembly through the dash panel.





2. Connect the transaxle select control cable.





3. Connect the transaxle shift control cable.
4. Adjust the transaxle control shift cables.
