DESCRIPTION

Some 2005 Tributes may exhibit a loose gear selector button cap for automatic transmission shifter. The button cap may fall of{ and will not stay in place when re-installed.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify concern.

2. Replace the gear selector button cap only according to Workshop Manual (section 05-14 SELECTOR LEVER Removal and Installation).

NOTE:
It is not necessary to replace the entire gear selector lever.

3. Verify repair.
