Body Control Module: Testing and Inspection

PASSENGER JUNCTION BOX (PJB) CONFIGURATION




1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2 (16-pin).
2. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initial screen of the M-MDS.

When using the IDS (laptop PC)
- Select "Module Programming".

When using the PDS (Pocket PC)
- Select "Programming".
- Select "Module Programming".

3. Then, select items from the screen menu in the following order.
1. Select "Programmable Module Installation".
2. Select "GEM".

4. Perform the configuration according to the directions on the screen.
5. select items from the screen menu in the following order.
1. Select "Programmable Parameters".
2. Select "GEM".
3. Select "Module Reset".

6. Perform procedures according to the directions on the screen.
7. Retrieve DTCs using the M-MDS and verify that there is no DTC present.
- If any DTC is present, perform applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE (PJB)[CONTROL SYSTEM].) Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
