PINPOINT TEST 5: THE DEMAND LIGHTING IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
The instrument panel dimmer switch controls the demand lighting function. When the battery saver relay is energized, the relay provides voltage to circuit (LG/O). When the instrument panel dimmer switch is closed, voltage is supplied to circuit (B/P). Circuit (B/P) then provides voltage to circuit (B/LB). Circuit (B/LB), then supplies voltage to the interior lamp. The battery saver in the smart junction box (SJB) deactivates the voltage after a predetermined time-out.

Possible Causes
- Circuit (B/P) open
- Circuit (LG/O) open
- Instrument panel dimmer switch
- SJB
