Pinpoint Test 1
PINPOINT TEST 1: THE TURN SIGNAL LAMPS ARE INOPERATIVENormal Operation
The SJB provides voltage to the indicator flasher relay through circuit (O/Y). The indicator flasher relay routes the voltage to the multifunction switch through circuit (LB). When the multifunction switch is placed in the LH or RH TURN position, the multifunction switch routes the voltage to the LH and RH front turn lamps through circuits (LG/W) and (W/LB), respectively. The multifunction switch also routes the voltage to the LH and RH rear turn lamps through circuits (LG/O) and (O/LB), respectively. Ground for the indicator flasher relay is provided through circuit (B).
Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit (W/LB) short to ground
- Circuit (LG/W) short to ground
- Circuit (O/LB) short to ground
- Circuit (O/Y) open
- Circuit (LG/O) short to ground
- Circuit (LB) open, short to ground or voltage
- Circuit (B) open
- Indicator flasher relay
- Multifunction switch
- Smart junction box (SJB)
