PROCEDURES FOR DETERMINING THE LOCATION OF A MALFUNCTION

PCM
1. Check the display of DTC U0101, U0121 and/or U0155, using the SST (WDS or equivalent). (See DTC TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)].) Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions




2. Referring to the table, determine the malfunctioning part of the CAN system.

ABS/TCS HU/CM
1. Check the display of DTC U0100, U0101 and/or U0155, using the SST (WDS or equivalent). (See DTC TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)].) Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
2. Access and monitor the "PCM-MSG" and "TCM-MSG" of PID using the SST (WDS or equivalent).
3. Referring to the PID/DATA MONITOR, confirm the display status of the PID. (See PID/DATA MONITOR Table [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)].) Multiplex Communication System




4. Referring to the table, determine the malfunctioning part of the CAN system.

TCM
1. Check the display of DTC U0100, U0121 (AW6A-EL), U0140 (AW6A-EL) and/or U0415 (AW6A-EL) using the SST (WDS or equivalent). (See DTC TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)].) Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions
2. Access and monitor the "TCM_MSG" of ABS/TCS HU/CM and instrument cluster PID using the SST (WDS or equivalent).
3. Referring to the PID/DATA MONITOR, confirm the display status of the PID. (See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (L3, AJ)].) Multiplex Communication System





4. Referring to the table, determine the malfunctioning part of the CAN system.

Instrument Cluster
1. Access and monitor the "ABS_MSG", "PCM_MSG" and "TCM_MSG" of PID using the SST (WDS or equivalent).
