Disassembly Note
1. Remove the top compression ring.

Note:
^ Use a suitable ring expander to remove piston rings to prevent damage.





2. Remove the second compression ring.





3. Remove the first oil control ring.





4. Remove the oil control spacer ring.





5. Remove the second oil control ring.





Caution:
^ Do not reuse the piston or pin if removed or damage to the engine may occur.


6. Using Piston Pin Tool SST 303-D034 or equivalent, press the piston pin out of the piston connecting rod assembly.

Note:
^ Take note of piston connecting rod assembly and mark the connecting rod and piston to ensure proper orientation during reassembly.





7. Remove the connecting rod from the piston.





8. Clean and inspect the connecting rod and the piston.
