2007 CX-7 - MIL ON WITH DTCS P0201 / P0204 / P0300 - PCM CONNECTOR INSTALLATION CAUTION

2007 CX-7

DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may experience a MIL on with DTCs P0201, P0204, or P0300 stored in memory. Also, the vehicle may exhibit a rough idle. A poor PCM connection (during a prior repair) may be the cause if it was not inserted at the right angle. In the worst case, PCM connector breakage may occur if the harness side connector and PCM side connector are forced together.

NOTE:
When connecting the PCM connector, be sure to follow the repair procedure below.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Confirm PCM connector is connected properly, if not, connect according to following procedure.

3. Before inserting PCM connector into PCM, make sure PCM connector lever is pointing toward harness, and away from PCM.

4. Insert PCM connector straight into PCM and make sure lever rotates into position automatically.

5. Push in PCM connector until a click noise is heard.

6. Verify repair.
