2007 CX-7 - HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP REMOVAL CAUTION

DESCRIPTION

When replacing the high pressure fuel pump on a CX-7 vehicle, always be sure to completely remove the air duct during the repair.





Completely remove the air duct as indicated in the workshop manual (section 01-14) before removing the high pressure fuel pump, even if it seems unnecessary. Partial removal of the air duct is not sufficient.

CAUTION:
If the air duct is not completely removed, it may come off unintentionally during the repair and cause an engine driveability concern, MIL illumination with DTC P0300-P0304 (random misfire detected), or P2187 (fuel system too lean at idle).
