License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair

LICENSE PLATE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the lift-gate trim.
4. While cutting the double-sided adhesive tape using a flathead screwdriver or razor, separate the cover from the body.

WARNING: Using a razor with bare hands can cause injury. Always wear gloves when using a razor.




5. Press the lens tabs in the direction indicated by the arrows and remove the lens.
6. Remove the socket.
7. Remove the license plate light bulb.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.




1. Attach the double-sided adhesive tape to the cover as shown in the figure.
