DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may experience keyless entry transmitter breakage or separation from the key. This may be caused by an incomplete transmitter to key connection during mass-production.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.





2. Reconnect transmitter and key as follows:

a. Using both hands, align transmitter and key together until guide features are engaged.

b. Using one hand, place transmitter butt against palm and switchblade key between fingers.





c. Quickly squeeze transmitter and key together until a "click" noise is heard or felt.

d. Pull on components to ensure they are securely attached to each other.
