Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Testing and Inspection

DUAL PROPORTIONING VALVE INSPECTION (WITHOUT ABS/TCS OR DSC)





1. Connect the SSTs to the brake pipes as shown in the figure.
2. Bleed the air from the brake system.
3. Measure the fluid pressure of the master cylinder and the rear brake.
^ If not within the specification, replace the dual proportioning valve.

Rear brake fluid pressure when front brake fluid pressure at 2,450 kPa (24.98 kgf/cm2, 355.3 psi) (A): 2,250 kPa (22.95 kgf/cm2, 326.4 psi)-2,650 kPa (27.02 kgf/cm2, 384.3 psi) (A")

Rear brake fluid pressure when front brake fluid pressure at 5,880 kPa (60 kgf/cm2, 853 psi) (B): 3,180 kPa (32.43 kgf/cm2, 461.3 psi)-3,780 kPa (38.54 kgf/cm2, 548.2 psi) (B")
