Seat Occupant Classification Module - Air Bag: Service and Repair

SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTION
- When the seat weight sensor control module is replaced with a new one, perform the seat weight sensor calibration using the M-MDS. (See SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CALIBRATION.) Programming and Relearning

Removal

1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more.
3. Remove the front passenger's seat.




4. Remove the seat weight sensor control module connector.
5. Remove the seat weight sensor control module bracket installation rivets using a drill.




6. Remove the seat weight sensor control module installation rivets using a drill.
7. Remove the seat weight sensor control module.

Installation

1. Remove the slide adjuster.




2. Set the rivet to the riveter, and then secure the seat weight sensor control module and bracket to the slide adjuster with the rivets.
3. Install in the reverse order to removal.
