Pinpoint Test 1: The Audio Unit Is Inoperative/Does Not Operate Correctly
PINPOINT TEST 1: THE AUDIO UNIT IS INOPERATIVE/DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLYNormal Operation
The audio unit receives voltage through circuit (V/R) at all times, and through circuit (W/L) with the key in RUN or ACC. Ground is provided to the audio unit through circuit (B/Y) (illumination only) and circuit (B/L). With the key in RUN or ACC and the audio unit on, all functions are operational.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Audio unit
CAUTION:
- For the CD6 audio unit, the audio unit must be placed in shipment mode before removal. See AUDIO UNIT SHIPMENT MODE Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the audio unit.
- Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
