Heater Hose: Service and Repair
HEATER HOSE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION1. Drain the radiator.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
3. On 2.3L engines, remove the heater hoses from the heater core.
- Disconnect the vacuum line from the water control valve.
- Remove the heater hose from the rear coolant tube.
4. For all engines, remove the heater hoses from between the heater core and the water control valve.
5. On 2.3L engines, disconnect the heater hose from the water outlet tube and remove the heater hose assembly.
6. For all engines, remove the heater hose from between the water control valve and the water pump.
7. On 4.0L engines, remove the nut from the clip.
8. Remove the heater hose from between the water control valve and the water outlet.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Lubricate all hoses and fittings.
