Pinpoint Test 1

PINPOINT TEST 1: THE REVERSING LAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) provides voltage to the digital transmission range (TR) sensor, or the reversing lamp switch, through circuit (Y/V). When the transmission is placed in REVERSE, the digital TR sensor, or the backup lamp switch, routes the voltage to the backup lamps through circuit (BR/Y).

Possible Causes
- Fuse
- Circuit (Y/V) open
- Circuit (BR/Y) open
- Digital TR sensor
- Reversing lamp switch
- SJB

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
