PINPOINT TEST 1: THE INTERIOR LAMP IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation

NOTE: The smart junction box (SJB) is also known as the generic electronic module (GEM).

Voltage is supplied to the SJB/GEM through circuit (GY/R). The SJB/GEM fuse 13 (15A) supplies voltage to the interior lamp relay (integral to the SJB/GEM). When any door is opened, the door ajar switch closes, signalling the SJB/GEM. The SJB/GEM monitors the door ajar circuits, and the instrument panel dimmer switch input. Based on these inputs, the SJB/GEM will supply voltage to the interior lamp on circuit (G/L).

- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Interior lamp
- SJB
