Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder.
- Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch lock cylinder and turn to the RUN position.
- Push the ignition switch lock cylinder release tab with a punch while pulling out the ignition switch lock cylinder.
3. If equipped, remove the tilt release lever / handle.
4. Remove the 3 steering column cover screws and upper and lower steering column shrouds.
5. Disconnect the multi-function switch electrical connectors.
6. Remove the 2 multi-function switch screws and the multi-function switch. To install, tighten to 3 N-m (0.3 kgf-m, 27 in-lb).
7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
