WINDSHIELD WIPER CHATTER / NOISE - DRIVER SIDE ONLY

APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINs
2008 Tribute vehicles built only on April 14, 2007

DESCRIPTION

Some Tribute vehicles built ONLY on April 14, 2007 may exhibit a windshield wiper chatter or noise from the driver side when the wiper blade reverses direction at the top of the windshield.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

NOTE:
THIS CONCERN ONLY AFFECTS THE DRIVER SIDE WIPER, NOT THE PASSENGER SIDE.

2. Replace driver side wiper arm according to Workshop Manual (section 09-19 WIPER PIVOT ARM - FRONT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).

3. Verify repair.
