Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Jacking

JACKING

WARNING:
- Do not run the engine when jacking the vehicle. The wheels contacting the ground could cause the vehicle to move. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
- Make sure the jack and jack stands are correctly located to prevent the vehicle from falling. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
- Wheel chocks should be used to prevent the vehicle from rolling and falling off the jack. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.

CAUTION:
- To prevent possible damage to the underbody, do not drive the vehicle onto the drive-on lift without first checking for possible interference.
- Damage to the suspension, exhaust or steering linkage components may occur if care is not exercised when positioning the hoist adapters prior to lifting the vehicle.
