EGR Electronic Vacuum Regulator Solenoid: Service and Repair

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VACUUM REGULATOR VALVE - 3.0L (4V) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) vacuum regulator valve electrical connector.
2. Disconnect the EGR vacuum regulator valve vacuum tube fitting.
3. Remove the EGR vacuum regulator valve stud nut and detach the engine wiring harness bracket.
- To install, tighten to 6 N.m {0.6 kgf.m, 53 in.lbf}.

4. Detach the wiring harness retainer from the EGR vacuum regulator valve stud.
5. Remove the 2 EGR vacuum regulator valve studs and the EGR vacuum regulator valve.
- To install, tighten to 6 N.m {0.6 kgf.m, 53 in.lbf}.

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
