TRANSMISSION SUPPORT CROSSMEMBER









Removal and Installation

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See Lifting.






1. Remove the 2 transmission mount nuts from the transmission support crossmember.

- To install, tighten to 90 N-m (9.2 kgf-m, 66 ft-lbf).

CAUTION:Do not allow the transmission to hang freely.Support the transmission with a suitable jack.

NOTE:4WD transmission support crossmember shown, 2WD transmission support crossmember similar.Remove the transmission support crossmember.
1 Remove the 2 horizontal transmission support crossmember bolts and nuts (1 each side).
Tightening torque
127 Nm {13 kgfm, 94 ft-lbf }
2 Remove the 4 vertical transmission support crossmember bolts and nuts (2 each side).
Tightening torque
99 Nm {10.1 kgfm, 73 ft-lbf }
3 Remove the transmission support crossmember.

2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
