Removal and Installation

1. With the vehicle in neutral, position it on a hoist. See Lifting.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See Procedures.

3. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

4. Remove the wheel speed sensor harness bolt and unclip the retainers.

- To install, tighten to 12 N-m (1.2 kgf-m, 9 ft-lbf).

5. Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt and the wheel speed sensor.

- To install, tighten to 12 N-m (1.2 kgf-m, 9 ft-lbf).

NOTE:Plug the sensor cavity and thoroughly clean the sensor mounting surface. Apply wheel bearing grease to the mounting surface.To install, reverse the removal procedure.
