Intermediate Shaft Speed (ISS) Sensor Removal / Installation

INTERMEDIATE SHAFT SPEED (ISS) SENSOR REMOVAL / INSTALLATION

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See Lifting.

2. Disconnect intermediate shaft speed (ISS) sensor electrical connector.






3. Remove ISS sensor.
a. Remove the screw.

b. Remove the ISS sensor from the transmission.

c. Inspect the ISS sensor O-ring for damage. If damaged, install a new O-ring.






4. Inspect and lubricate O-ring with petroleum jelly.
a. Install the ISS sensor into the transmission.

b. Tighten the ISS sensor screw.






1. Connect OSS sensor electrical connector.






2. Lower the vehicle.
