Seat Occupant Classification Module - Air Bag: Service and Repair




SEAT WEIGHT SENSOR CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
- When the seat weight sensor control module is replaced with a new one, perform the seat weight sensor calibration using the M-MDS. Programming and Relearning

Removal

1. Switch the ignition to off.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more.

3. Remove the front passenger's seat. Removal and Replacement

4. Disconnect the seat weight sensor control module connector.






5. Remove the seat weight sensor control module installation rivets using a drill.

6. Remove the seat weight sensor control module.

Installation

1. Set the rivet to the riveter, and then secure the seat weight sensor control module to the bracket with the rivets.






2. Install in the reverse order of removal.
