Roof Opening Panel Motor Initialization/ Synchronization - Resynchronization Procedure

ROOF OPENING PANEL MOTOR INITIALIZATION/ SYNCHRONIZATION - RESYNCHRONIZATION PROCEDURE

WARNING:Keep objects and body parts clear of the glass panel when carrying out the initialization procedure. During the initialization procedure, the glass panel closes with high force and cannot detect objects in its path. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Re-synchronize An Existing Moon Roof Motor

1. Turn the ignition to the ACC or RUN position.

2. Push and hold the rear portion of the roof opening control switch to the second detent until the glass panel moves to the full rear OPEN position. Release the switch

CAUTION:Inspect the moon roof track for any obstruction or foreign material. Remove obstruction or material before proceeding.
3. Push and hold the front portion of the roof opening control switch to the second detent until the glass panel moves to the CLOSED position.

- Release the switch.

4. Push and hold the front portion of the roof opening control switch to the second detent until the glass panel moves to be the closest to the full vent position as possible. (This may appear to be the closed or nearly closed position. but the motor thinks it is in full vent.)

CAUTION:Inspect the moon roof glass and seal for any obstruction or foreign material. Remove obstruction or material before proceeding.

NOTE:The driver or passenger front door must be open during this step.

- Cycle the ignition to the OFF position and then back to the RUN position.
- Cycle the ignition to the OFF position and then within 5 (five) seconds, back to the RUN position.
- Within 5 (five) seconds, press the front portion of the roof opening panel control switch to the second detent for 1 (one) second and release.
- Within 1 (one) second, press and hold the front portion of the roof opening panel control switch to the second detent until the glass panel moves to the full VENT position and stops.
- Release the switch.

6. Verify successful initialization by carrying out one-touch OPEN, one-touch CLOSE and one-touch VENT operations.

Initialize A New Moon Roof Motor

1. Turn the ignition to the ACC or RUN position

2. Push and hold the front portion of the roof opening panel control switch to the second detent until the glass panel moves past the full VENT position.Release the switch.

3. Verify successful initialization by carrying out one-touch OPEN, one-touch CLOSE and one-touch VENT operations
