Auxiliary Input / Output Jack: Testing and Inspection

AUXILIARY JACK INSPECTION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Upper panel Upper Panel Removal/Installation

b. Shift knob (MTX) Service and Repair

c. Shift panel Shift Panel Removal/Installation

d. Decoration panel (See Decoration Panel Removal/Installation.)

e. Center panel lower Center Panel Lower Removal/Installation

f. Rear console Overhaul

g. Auxiliary jack Service and Repair

3. Connect a commercially-available nonresistant plug to the auxiliary jack.






4. Verify that the continuity between the auxiliary jack terminals is as indicated in the table.






- If not as indicated in the table, replace the auxiliary jack.
