Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR INSPECTION [MZI 3.7 V6]

NOTE:
- The TP sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the TP sensor, replace it together with the throttle body as a single unit.

1. Verify that no DTC related to APP sensor has been detected. On-Board Diagnostic Test

- If any DTCs related to APP sensor have been detected, perform the DTC inspection. Engine - DTC Table

2. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.






3. Switch the ignition to ON.

4. Verify that the TP sensor output value (PID: TP1, TP2) is as indicated in the table below according to the condition of the accelerator pedal. On-Board Diagnostic Test

- If it cannot be verified, replace the throttle body. Service and Repair
