Oil Control Valve (OCV) Removal/Installation

OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI 3.7 V6]

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the engine cover. Engine Cover Removal/Installation

3. Set the power steering reserve tank out of the way. Removal and Replacement

4. Remove the ventilation hose. Service and Repair

5. Disconnect the vacuum hose. Service and Repair

6. Remove the dynamic chamber and throttle body as a single unit. Service and Repair

7. Disconnect the wiring harness.

8. Remove the ignition coils. Service and Repair

9. Remove the dipstick.

10. Remove the cylinder head cover. Service and Repair

11. Remove the OCV.
NOTE:
- The LH side is shown, however, the RH side is the same.





Tightening torque
- 9-11 Nm {92-112 kgf-cm, 80-97 in-lbf}

12. Install in the reverse order of removal.
