Passenger Assist Handle: Service and Repair





ASSIST HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Assist Handle Removal

1. Insert a flathead screwdriver into the service hole and remove the assist handle covers.






2. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure, press the flathead screwdriver in the direction of the arrow and press the clip away from the assist handle bracket.






CAUTION:
- When inserting a flathead screwdriver, be careful not to damage the assist handle tabs shown in the figure.

3. Remove the assist handle by shaking it up and down.

Assist Handle Installation

1. Push the assist handle in the direction of the arrow with the assist handle cover assembled to install the assist handle.
