Note

•  If vibration occurs after installing the propeller shaft, adjust the angle of the propeller shaft.

•  If the vibration is not eliminated even after changing the propeller shaft angle, adjust the propeller shaft balance. (See PROPELLER SHAFT ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION.)

Front Propeller Shaft (4x4)

1.  Lift up the vehicle.

2.  Disconnect the front propeller shaft (on front differential side).

3.  Rotate the companion flange 90 degrees.

4.  Connect the front propeller shaft (on front differential side). (See PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) (See PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [5AT].)

5.  If necessary, repeat the procedure.

Rear Propeller shaft

1.  Lift up the vehicle.

2.  Disconnect the rear propeller shaft (on rear differential side).

3.  Rotate the companion flange 90 degrees.

4.  Connect the rear propeller shaft (on rear differential side). (See PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) (See PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [5AT].)

5.  If necessary, repeat the procedure.
