TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [M15M-D]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the propeller shaft. (See PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the starter. (See STARTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [F2].)

4.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

6.  Perform the "INSPECTION AFTER TRANSMISSION INSTALLATION", and verify that there is no abnormality.

Crossmember Removal Note

1.  Securely support the transmission on a transmission jack, then remove the crossmember.

Transmission Removal Note

1.  Maintain the stability of the transmission while removing it.

Transmission Installation Note

Warning

•  A transmission that is not secunrely supported on a transmission jack is dangerous.It can slip or fall, causing serious injury.Never work without the transmission jack until crossmember installation is finished.

1.  Place the transmission on a transmission jack.

2.  Maintain the stability of the transmission while installing it.
