Reinforcement removal

1) Turn the steering wheel 90° to the right and left and remove the screw from the steering cowl.

2) Remove the steering cowl from the steering shaft.

Referring to the following, remove the ECM from the reinforcement.

Refer to "1.Engine 1Z.Engine Electrical Control(4JJ3 with DPD) ECM removal".

Refer to "1.Engine 1Z.Engine Electrical Control(4JJ3 without DPD) ECM removal".

Refer to "1.Engine 1Z.Engine Electrical Control(RZ4E-TC) ECM removal".

1) Disconnect the steering shaft from the reinforcement.

2) Remove the center ventilation duct from the heater evaporator unit.

3) Remove the DLC from the reinforcement.

4) Remove the harness and harness clips from the reinforcement.

5) Remove the reinforcement from the vehicle.
