1. DTC B1084[29] description
The steering lock has a built-in ECU, and it locks or unlocks the steering according to the requests from the wireless access module. The following circuits are located between the wireless access module and the steering lock ECU.
- LIN communication circuit
- Steering lock position signal circuit
- Steering lock operating permission switch circuit
If the wireless access module detects that the signal received from the steering lock ECU via the LIN communication circuit and the signal input from the signal circuit do not match, the DTC is set.
2. Condition for setting DTC B1084[29]
- The wireless access module detects that signals from the steering lock ECU do not match for 5 seconds.
3. Action taken when DTC B1084[29] sets
- Engine startup is inhibited.
When the engine start/stop button is pressed:
- The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
- STEERING LOCK SYSTEM ERROR will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
- The buzzer built into the instrument panel cluster will sound 3 times.
When the power mode is ON:
- The key monitor warning light illuminates.
