DTC B130C[07] Cut Off Indicator Malfunction (Air Bag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Roof/Knee/Far Side))

1. SRS system check

Refer to "58.SRS Control 8A.Troubleshooting(Air Bag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Roof/Knee/Far Side)) diagnostic system check-SRS controls".

2. Passenger side SRS airbag cut off indicator operation check

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Do the passenger side SRS airbag ON indicator light and passenger side SRS airbag OFF indicator light turn OFF for 2 seconds after illuminating for 4 seconds?

Yes

=>Go to Current DTC check.

No

=>Go to Fuse inspection.

3. Current DTC check

1) Connect the scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool for DTC B130C[07] being set as a current failure. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to SRS control unit replacement.

No

Go to Intermittent conditions of SRS control.

Refer to "209.Restraints 22D.Symptom Intermittent conditions of SRS control".

4. Fuse inspection

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.

2) Inspect the SRS (IG1) 10A fuse. Is the result normal?

Yes

=>Go to Passenger side SRS airbag indicator power supply circuit inspection.

No

Replace the fuse. If the fuse blows out again, repair the short to ground in the circuits relating to the SRS (IG1) 10A fuse.

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Passenger side SRS airbag indicator power supply circuit inspection

1) Install the SRS (IG1) 10A fuse.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.

3) Disconnect the passenger side SRS airbag indicator harness connector (B57).

4) Connect a test lamp between the passenger side SRS airbag indicator harness connector (pin 4 of B57) and the frame ground.

Refer to "RHD SRS airbag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Curtain/Knee/Far Side)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

5) Turn ON the ignition switch. Does the test lamp illuminate?

Yes

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in passenger side SRS airbag ON indicator light control circuit.

No

Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the power supply circuit between the SRS (IG1) 10A fuse and the passenger side SRS airbag cut off indicator (pin 4 of B57).

=>Go to Repair verification.

6. Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in passenger side SRS airbag ON indicator light control circuit

1) Inspect the passenger side SRS airbag ON indicator light control circuit between the SRS control unit (pin 17 of R7) and the passenger side SRS airbag indicator (pin 3 of B57). Is the result normal?

  • Short to the power supply circuit
  • Short to ground circuit
  • Open circuit or high resistance

Refer to "RHD SRS airbag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Curtain/Knee/Far Side)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in passenger side SRS airbag OFF indicator light control circuit.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

7. Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in passenger side SRS airbag OFF indicator light control circuit

1) Inspect the passenger side SRS airbag OFF indicator light control circuit between the SRS control unit (pin 18 of R7) and the passenger side SRS airbag indicator (pin 2 of B57). Is the result normal?

  • Short to the power supply circuit
  • Short to ground circuit
  • Open circuit or high resistance

Refer to "RHD SRS airbag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Curtain/Knee/Far Side)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to Passenger side SRS airbag indicator harness connector inspection.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

8. Passenger side SRS airbag indicator harness connector inspection

1) Inspect for poor connections at the passenger side SRS airbag indicator harness connector (pins 2 and 3 of B57). Is the result normal?

Refer to "RHD SRS airbag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Curtain/Knee/Far Side)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

=>Go to SRS control unit harness connector inspection.

No

Repair the connections as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

9. SRS control unit harness connector inspection

1) Inspect for poor connections at the SRS control unit harness connector (pins 17 and 18 of R7). Is the result normal?

Refer to "LHD SRS airbag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Curtain/Knee)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Refer to "RHD SRS airbag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Curtain/Knee)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Refer to "RHD SRS airbag (Driver/Passenger/Side/Curtain/Knee/Far Side)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

Replace the passenger side SRS airbag indicator.

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9E.Instrumentation, Driver Info. passenger airbag indicator removal".

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9E.Instrumentation, Driver Info. passenger airbag indicator installation".

=>Go to DTC follow-up check.

No

Repair the connections as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

10. DTC follow-up check

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to SRS control unit replacement.

No

=>Go to Repair verification.

11. SRS control unit replacement

Note

  • Perform the VIN programming and ECU lock after replacing the SRS control unit.

=>Go to Repair verification.

12. Repair verification

1) Reconnect all of the disconnected harness connectors.

2) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

3) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.

4) Turn ON the ignition switch.

5) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
