DTC B1084[2F] Electric Steering Lock Signal Mismatch (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. DTC B1084[2F] description

The wireless access module performs the steering lock inhibition control when certain conditions are met in order to prevent the danger due to the steering lock activation while the vehicle is running or when the engine is suddenly stopped. An ECU is built into the steering lock assembly. The steering lock ECU and wireless access module communicate the control information and diagnosis information via LIN communication. If the wireless access module detects that the signal from the steering lock inhibition circuit and the signal from the steering lock ECU do not match, the DTC is set.

Note
