DTC B1084[2F] Electric Steering Lock Signal Mismatch (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. Wireless access module system check

Refer to "71.Security and Locks Control 10S.Troubleshooting(Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System])) Diagnostic system check-Wireless Access Module (Hi-version[Passive Entry and Start System])".

2. Prioritized DTC check

1) Turn ON the ignition switch.

2) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is DTC B1084[09], B1084[29], B1084[54], or B1084[81] set at the same time?

Yes

Go to the applicable DTC diagnosis.

Refer to "71.Security and Locks Control 10S.Troubleshooting(Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System])) DTC B1084[09] Electric Steering Lock Failure".

Refer to "71.Security and Locks Control 10S.Troubleshooting(Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System])) DTC B1084[29] Invalid Data Received from Electric Steering Lock".

Refer to "71.Security and Locks Control 10S.Troubleshooting(Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System])) DTC B1084[54] Electric Steering Lock Not Programmed".

Refer to "71.Security and Locks Control 10S.Troubleshooting(Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System])) DTC B1084[81] Lost Communication With Electric Steering Lock".

No

=>Go to Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in steering lock inhibition circuit.

3. Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in steering lock inhibition circuit

1) Inspect the steering lock inhibition circuit between the wireless access module (pin 14 of B15) and the steering lock assembly (pin 6 of B39) for the following. Is the result normal?

Yes

=>Go to Inspection of steering lock assembly harness connector.

No

Repair the steering lock inhibition circuit between the wireless access module (pin 14 of B15) and the steering lock assembly (pin 6 of B39).

=>Go to Repair verification.

4. Inspection of steering lock assembly harness connector

1) Inspect for poor connections at the steering lock assembly harness connector (pin 6 of B39). Is the connection status normal?

Refer to "LHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Refer to "RHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Yes

Replace the steering lock assembly.

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9J.Security and Locks steering lock removal".

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9J.Security and Locks steering lock installation".

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9J.Security and Locks steering lock setting".

=>Go to Current DTC check.

No

Repair the connections as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Current DTC check

1) Connect all of the disconnected harness connectors.

2) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

3) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

4) Press the engine start/stop button.

5) Turn ON the ignition switch.

6) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Wireless access module replacement.

No

=>Go to Repair verification.

6. Wireless access module replacement

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9Z.Body, Cab, Accessories Electrical Control wireless access module removal".

=>Go to Repair verification.

7. Repair verification

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
