1) Turn ON the ignition switch.
2) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is DTC B1084[09], B1084[29], B1084[54], or B1084[81] set at the same time?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC diagnosis.
No
=>Go to Inspection for open circuit and short circuit in steering lock inhibition circuit.
1) Inspect the steering lock inhibition circuit between the wireless access module (pin 14 of B15) and the steering lock assembly (pin 6 of B39) for the following. Is the result normal?
Yes
=>Go to Inspection of steering lock assembly harness connector.
No
Repair the steering lock inhibition circuit between the wireless access module (pin 14 of B15) and the steering lock assembly (pin 6 of B39).
1) Inspect for poor connections at the steering lock assembly harness connector (pin 6 of B39). Is the connection status normal?
Refer to "LHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Refer to "RHD Power Door Locks (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version))" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Yes
Replace the steering lock assembly.

No
Repair the connections as necessary.
1) Connect all of the disconnected harness connectors.
2) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.
3) Turn OFF the ignition switch.
4) Press the engine start/stop button.
5) Turn ON the ignition switch.
6) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?
Yes
=>Go to Wireless access module replacement.
No
