DTC P0500[87] Invalid Data Received from Vehicle Speed Sensor (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. DTC P0500[87] description

The wireless access module uses the vehicle speed data received from the ECM via the CAN communication circuit and controls power mode switching. If the wireless access module detects invalid vehicle speed data from the ECM, the DTC is set.

Note

  • Although this DTC is set, the engine can be started using emergency starting.

2. Condition for setting DTC P0500[87]

  • The wireless access module receives invalid vehicle speed data from the ECM 50 consecutive times.

3. Action taken when DTC P0500[87] sets

When the engine start/stop button is pressed:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
  • CHECK SYSTEM will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
  • The buzzer built into the instrument panel cluster will sound 3 times.

When the power mode is ON and there is a current failure:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates.

When door locking/unlocking is requested:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
  • CHECK SYSTEM will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
  • The external buzzer will sound for 3 seconds.
