1. DTC P2535 description
The TCM monitors whether the ignition voltage is within the normal range. If the TCM detects that the ignition voltage is high, the DTC is set. Also, when there is a malfunction in the charging system, the generator warning light illuminates.
2. Condition for setting DTC P2535
Condition for running the DTC
- The ignition switch is ON.
- The battery voltage is 9.0 to 16.0 V.
Condition for setting the DTC
- The TCM detects that the ignition voltage is 16 V or more for 60 seconds or more.
3. Action taken when DTC P2535 sets
- The TCM flashes the check trans warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type A.

- The TCM inhibits the lock-up timing control.
- The TCM inhibits the slip lock-up control.
- The TCM inhibits the garage control.
- The TCM inhibits the self-learning control.
- The TCM inhibits the engine torque control.
4. Condition for clearing DTC P2535
- Refer to Condition for clearing the MIL, check trans warning light/DTC - Type A or Type B.
