DTC U0046[88] CAN Communication (IBS (RZ4E-TC))

1. DTC U0046[88] description

The battery sensor receives vehicle driving information from the ECM via CAN communication. If a malfunction is found in the CAN communication circuit and a status in which communication cannot be established is detected, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U0046[88]

Condition for setting the DTC

  • A CAN Bus OFF status is detected for 3 seconds or more.

3. Action taken when DTC U0046[88] sets

  • Illuminate the generator warning light.
  • Inhibit the charge control.
