Check 4WD warning light inoperative (4WD models)

1. Transfer control system check

Refer to "53.Driveline Control 3A.Troubleshooting(4WD models) diagnostic system check-transfer case controls".

2. Instrument panel cluster setting verification

1) Connect the scan tool.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Display the Module Information with a scan tool.

4) Observe the 4WD indicator light setting on the scan tool. Does the 4WD indicator light setting show Available?

Yes

Replace the instrument panel cluster.

Note

  • Perform programming after replacing the instrument panel cluster.

No

Perform programming of the instrument panel cluster.

3. Repair verification

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Check whether the check 4WD warning light turns OFF after illuminating for approximately 3 seconds.
