1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.
2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.
3) Turn ON the ignition switch.
4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool for DTC B0021[11] being set as a current failure. Is a DTC set?
Yes
=>Go to Passenger curtain airbag circuit check.
No
Go to Intermittent conditions of SRS control.
Refer to "209.Restraints 22D.Symptom Intermittent conditions of SRS control".
1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.
2) Disconnect the passenger curtain airbag harness connector (R29).
3) Connect the SRS alternative load and the appropriate adapter from the adapter harness kit to the passenger curtain airbag harness connector (R29).

No
Replace the passenger curtain airbag.

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 15 seconds or more.
2) Inspect the passenger curtain airbag deployment current output (High) circuit between the SRS control unit (pin 2 of R7) and the passenger curtain airbag (pin 1 of R29) for a short to ground. Is the result normal?
