DTC U0046[88] CAN Communication Malfunction (CAN 4 Bus Off) (Central GateWay)

1. DTC U0046[88] description

The central gateway control unit communicates the control information and diagnosis information with each control unit via the Powertrain CAN communication circuit. If the central gateway control unit detects a malfunction in the Powertrain CAN communication circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC U0046[88]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The battery voltage is 10 V or more.
  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The central gateway control unit detects a Bus OFF status in the Powertrain CAN communication circuit for a predetermined length of time or more.

3. Action taken when DTC U0046[88] sets

  • A current failure is set.
