DTC B1E25[01] Backup Battery Connection Malfunction (eCall unit)

1. DTC B1E25[01] description

The eCall unit has a built-in battery and supplies power which allows the emergency call system to operate. When approximately 3 years have passed, or when the emergency call system is activated even once, the battery must be replaced. If the eCall unit detects a malfunction in the built-in battery, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1E25[01]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The eCall unit detects a poor connection at the built-in battery.

3. Action taken when DTC B1E25[01] sets

  • The indicator light (red) illuminates.
  • An alarm sounds from the speaker.
  • Current and past failures are set.
