The back up light switch is installed to the transmission and detects the reverse gear position. When the BCM detects that the gear position is reverse, the back up light illuminates.
The back up switch is provided to the inhibitor switch, and it detects the selector lever R position. When the BCM detects that the selector lever is in the R position, the back up light illuminates.
