DTC C0089[9E] ESC OFF Switch Stuck ON (ABS/ESC)

1. DTC C0089[9E] description

The ESC OFF switch is installed to the instrument panel on the driver side. The TCS and ESC can be deactivated by operating the ESC OFF switch. When the EHCU detects that the ESC OFF switch is stuck ON, this DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC C0089[9E]

Condition for running the DTC

  • The ignition switch is ON.

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The EHCU detects an ESC OFF switch ON status for 10 seconds.
