DTC B1084[54] Electric Steering Lock Not Programmed (Wireless Access Module (Hi-version [Passive Entry and Start System]))

1. DTC B1084[54] description

When the engine start/stop button is pressed, the wireless access module starts authentication with the electronic key. When authentication is completed normally, the wireless access module starts authentication with the steering lock ECU. After completing this authentication normally, the solenoid built into the steering lock ECU is activated to unlock the steering lock. If the wireless access module detects a non-programmed steering lock ECU, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC B1084[54]

  • The wireless access module detects a non-programmed steering lock ECU.

3. Action taken when DTC B1084[54] sets

When the engine start/stop button is pressed:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates for 10 seconds.
  • STEERING LOCK SYSTEM ERROR will be displayed on the multi-information display for 10 seconds.
  • The buzzer built into the instrument panel cluster will sound 3 times.

When the power mode is ON:

  • The key monitor warning light illuminates.
