PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION (AS-BUILT DATA USE)
• Perform the SAS control module configuration using the M-MDS.
• Clear the DTC for the SAS control module using the M-MDS.
• Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS.
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.

|
INSPECT SEAT CUSHION
• Inspect the seat cushion.
• Is the seat cushion damp?
|
Yes
|
Seat cushion is dry.
Perform the DTC inspection again. If the same DTC is displayed, go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT FRONT SEAT WARMER
• Inspect the front seat warmer.
• Is the front seat warmer normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the front seat warmer.
• After replacement of seat cushion trim, perform occupant classification sensor calibration and reperform the DTC inspection. If the DTC is displayed, go the next step.

INSPECT POWER SEAT
• Inspect the power seat.
(See POWER SEAT SWITCH INSPECTION.)
(See LIFT MOTOR INSPECTION.)
(See SLIDE MOTOR INSPECTION.)
(See RECLINER MOTOR INSPECTION.)
• Is the power seat normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the malfunctioning parts.
• After replacement of seat cushion trim, perform occupant classification sensor calibration and reperform the DTC inspection. If the DTC is displayed, go the next step.

INSPECT PASSENGER-SIDE SEAT
• Switch the ignition to off.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more.
• Remove the passenger-side seat and visually inspect for the following:
• Are any of the parts deformed or are any foreign objects stuck in the seat?

Yes
|
Replace the malfunctioning parts.
• After replacement of seat cushion trim, perform occupant classification sensor calibration and reperform the DTC inspection. If the DTC is displayed, go the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.
|

INSPECT FLOOR
• Visually inspect the installation parts of the front passenger-side seat for the following:
• Is the floor normal?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Repair floor deformation.
• After repair, perform occupant classification sensor calibration and reperform the DTC inspection. If the DTC is displayed even though the floor has been repaired, go the next step.

INSPECT OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR
• Replace the occupant classification sensor.
• Connect the negative battery terminal.
• Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
• After replacement, perform occupant classification sensor calibration.
• Clear the DTC for the SAS control module using the M-MDS.
• Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS.
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Replace the occupant classification sensor.
• After replacement, perform occupant classification sensor calibration and reperform the DTC inspection. If the DTC is displayed even though the occupant classification sensor has been replaced, replace the SAS control module.

No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
